Folkestone - Volunteer Befriender

As a volunteer befriender you would be asked to visit a person or couple at home that we are supporting, to offer companionship and a friendly, listening ear at a difficult time. Those we support have cancer or other long-term health conditions, or are caring for a loved one who is seriously unwell. Our companionship volunteers may find themselves reading to someone, accompanying them on a walk, an outing to a garden centre or to the shops for a coffee. It may be sharing in a game or puzzles, or performing some practical tasks in the home or garden.

You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.
