Buddy volunteer - Weston Buddies

We know that everyday tasks we take for granted when fit and healthy become difficult when you're having treatment for cancer. Our volunteers lighten the load, giving practical help and a listening ear. Each volunteer is matched to someone affected by cancer and supports them in their own home or community. Interested? You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.


What we're looking for

  • Sociable and approachable
  • Reliable, punctual and honest
  • Able to work independently with guidance and support
  • Able to recognise boundaries and respect confidentiality
  • Be physically able to undertake practical support activities
