Home Support Volunteer

Brigitte Trust offers a free service of up to 3 hours a week of emotional support and practical help at home to people living in Surrey and parts of West Sussex, who have a life threatening illness. Contact us for details about our next training courses which will run throughout the year. Being alongside someone and listening can help so much.

You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.

What we're looking for

  • Empathy and openness; patience and warmth
  • Ability to listen without judgement
  • Interest in supporting people facing life-threatening illness
  • Able to volunteer around 3-4 hours per week
  • Car driver
