North London - Practical and Emotional Support Volunteer

People affected by cancer tell us they need local support during their cancer journey. As a volunteer buddy, you’ll offer practical and emotional support to either someone living with cancer or a carer over 12 sessions. You’ll be doing something amazing for people at a difficult time. Make your time matter in North London, ensure that life with cancer is still life – and help people live it! Visits are on weekdays, mostly 9am-5pm so please only apply if you're regularly available during these times. You need to be 18 years old or over to apply.

What we're looking for

  • Good listener and clear communicator
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and respect differences
  • Patient, flexible and reliable
  • Able to work independently within our guidance and boundaries
  • Someone who lives, works or is regularly in Camden, Islington, Haringey
