Lead Volunteer (NI Northern Community Helpers)

People tell us they need emotional and practical support during their cancer journey and they want help locally. Macmillan is developing a volunteer-led service of Community Helpers in a your local area. You would be part of a small team of 2-3 Lead Volunteers who help to develop the scheme in your area and coordinate a group of up to 10 Community Helper volunteers providing support to people affected by cancer. Interviews will be held and training and support provided.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills (including IT skills)
  • Reliable and honest
  • Passion, and an ability to motivate others
  • Ability to work independently, making appropriate use of support and guidance
  • Commitment to accessing training and engaging with support & supervision process
