Head and Neck Buddy - Macmillan Horizon Centre

Have you been affected by head and neck cancer? Bring your strong listening skills to provide emotional support to others affected by head and neck cancer. This role supports people affected by cancer during treatment times at the Sussex Cancer Centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.


What we're looking for

  • Personal experience of head and neck cancer either as a patient or carer
  • Strong listening skills
  • Empathy and ability to relate to others whilst keeping to boundaries
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Initiative and ability to refer complex needs to the right person
