Welfare Rights Champion

As a Welfare Rights Champion you would be working alongside a team of advisers to support people affected by cancer access the financial support they need. Depending on experience you could be helping people over the phone complete application forms for welfare benefits such as Attendance Allowance and Personal Independence Payment. Alternatively if you haven't got experience in this field you could be helping gather information to complete grant applications over the phone with a view to develop further.

What we're looking for

  • An awareness of welfare benefits would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills and polite telephone manner
  • Ability to deliver a great customer experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Computer literate and the ability to learn to use databases
