Helensburgh Library Information and Support Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers for our Macmillan information and support service within Helensburgh library. Your commitment as a volunteer will mean individuals can access cancer information, emotional support, and signposting to a range of different partner services within the community. LiveArgyll and Macmillan are working together to ensure everyone within our community affected by cancer lives life as fully as they can. The Information and support service in Helensburgh library is open on Mondays from 1-3pm and operates on a rota system.

You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.


What we're looking for

  • Open, warm, friendly and non judgemental manner, good communication skills
  • Good IT and administrative skills, excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • An ability to adhere to LiveArgyll’s policies and procedures
  • Awareness of own limitations and boundaries
  • An interest in cancer care and the services that Macmillan provides
