Bristol Buddies - Buddy volunteer

We know that everyday tasks we take for granted when fit and healthy become difficult when you're having treatment for cancer. Our volunteers lighten the load, giving practical help and a listening ear. Bristol Buddies is a growing project and we are expanding our team. We need volunteers from across the city and surrounding areas, and people who are available for a morning or an afternoon Monday to Friday. If this is you, then we would love to hear from you.

You need to be 18 years old or over to apply for this opportunity.

What we're looking for

  • Excellent listening skills
  • Reliable, punctual and friendly
  • Able to work independently with guidance and support
  • Able to recognise boundaries and respect confidentiality
  • Be physically able to undertake practical support activities
