At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you work well in a team and have good communication skills? Then we would love you to join our team as an Action Team Member and help support a varied range of fundraising activities and events. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community and have a rewarding experience helping us to raise money and make a difference.
Our Action Team role is the perfect way to get involved with volunteer fundraising and support people living with cancer. In this ad hoc role you can give as little or as much time as you like. You will have the opportunity to take part in fantastic fundraising events all across the UK. Some of our events include cheering at the marathons, collecting at racedays, concerts and sporting events, supporting at Pride events and black-tie balls, campaigning alongside Macmillan nurses or greeting our Mighty Hike volunteers as they finish their epic hikes in scenic locations across the country. We also have a range of actions you can do from home to make a difference for people living with cancer, like card writing, thank-you phone calls to supporters, sharing information online and helping to win partnerships with local companies. You will also receive our monthly newsletter to keep you up to date with current events.
Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.
