1. Why we want you?
Macmillan’s Cancer Information & Support Service at the Royal Bolton Hospital is calling for volunteers to help local patients, carers and families affected by cancer.
The service is co–produced and has 4 strategic partners; Macmillan, Bolton Hospice, Bolton People Affected by Cancer (PAC) and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care. These services work together deliver a Cancer Information and Support Service. The service also works closely with NHS Bolton Foundation Trust and Bolton Council.
Over the last eight years the service has grown, and it now needs to recruit more volunteers to join the existing team of fantastic volunteers.
Kelly Gordon, Deputy Manager of the Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service, said: “Volunteers are central to the success of the service. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join the team to help the service reach and support people affected by cancer across Bolton.''
