Action Team Lead (Edinburgh)

As an Action Team Lead you'll be trained and supported to manage a group of volunteers at fundraising events in your area (e.g. collections, cheerpoints, festivals and many more). We are looking for individuals who can bring their warm, friendly and inclusive leadership skills to inspire and support volunteers at these events. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting, inspiring and leading volunteers on the event day so they have an excellent volunteering experience

• Following Macmillan policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our volunteers

• Counting and banking cash collected, if required

• Being an Ambassador for Macmillan and signposting people to Macmillan’s website or helpline number for support

• Working closely with your regional Volunteer Manager to improve the volunteer experience and variety of opportunities available

The skills you need

• Good communication skills

• Leadership qualities

• Ability to work well in a team

• Basic IT skills (e.g. accessing Emails, Word documents, attending virtual webinars)
