Why we want you:

You will be willing and able to carry out a wide range of tasks to best meet the needs of patients and staff at MVCC at any given time. These include patient facing, telephone and administrative tasks.

Examples of the type of support you will be able to provide include:

  • Welcoming patients to MVCC and signposting patients to the right part of the hospital for their appointment
  • Providing support and information to patients and signposting on to the best team to meet their needs
  • Collecting valuable feedback from patients and carers using different survey methods (face to face or via telephone)
  • Re-stocking patient information and putting up posters around site
  • Running items between wards & departments
  • Preparing patient information packs
  • Basic administration e.g. data input, scanning, photocopying
  • Supporting staff at departments across the Cancer Centre

This role will suit you if you are flexible and able to pay attention to detail for some tasks. This role will also suit you if you cannot commit to a regular day or time to volunteer.

A DBS check will be required for this role.
