Event Support Volunteer (Big Day Out London - 14 October 2023)

At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join our team as an Event Support volunteer and help support everything from marathons to festivals and supermarket collections to black tie events.

Big Day Out is a brand new fundraising event, where we challenge supporters to walk, roll or stroll 10km or 2.5km at their own pace. Before and after the event, supporters can enjoy the atmosphere in the event village, suitable for all friends and family. With local food and drink stalls, face painting, talks from Macmillan professionals and much more, the event aims to be a celebration of local community, local people and the cancer care services we provide in the London area. As a Big Day Out volunteer, you will play a key role in providing that local feel and will be encouraged to speak with participants, be a friendly face and help provide a welcoming atmosphere that represents Macmillan! Please note timings and locations listed are a guide and may be subject to change by event organisers. Exact details will be confirmed in your volunteer brief sent a few weeks before the event.

By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community.
