Event Support Volunteer (Birmingham Walk to Support - 20 September 2025)

We’re inviting you to support the first ever Birmingham Walk to Support event – a fun, 10km or 2.5km walk starting and finishing in Centenary Square, Birmingham – where participants are raising funds to support people living with cancer.

You can volunteer to support either the event delivery in our event village, or cheering on participants.

What will you be doing?

Event Support – Role will include helping setting up, provide finish line support, handing out medals and being the friendly face of Macmillan.

Cheerpoint – Out along the route, ensuring that people follow the route correctly and providing support at different junctions.

Either way, Walk to Support is an opportunity to spend time with Macmillan supporters, exploring the vibrant city of Birmingham and celebrating our communities across the Midlands. You will be joined by a fantastic Macmillan staff member who will guide you through the day and introduce you to other volunteers, making sure your day is as enjoyable as possible.

As a volunteer, you will play a key role supporting those taking part, while soaking up the atmosphere of the day! The timings shown cover the full event day. Please let us know if you can only attend for part of this time and we'll accommodate this when allocating your role on the day.
