Event Support Volunteer (Cambridge Half Marathon - 8 March 2026)

The Cambridge Half Marathon takes place in this beautiful historic city. A smaller event than some of our others but no less fun or vital to help us support people living with cancer. The quieter cheerpoint is a great opportunity to get involved with volunteering and make some new friends without the pressure of meeting loads of people all at once.

What will you be doing?

Cheerpoint

Join a friendly group of volunteers to encourage our runners to the finish line.

We will provide everything you need to make some noise and paint the path green (Macmillan tabards, cowbells, clappers, pom poms etc.)

Can’t do the shift times but would still like to volunteer? Get in touch and we can help!

Your impact

220 runners with the fundraising target of £100,000 in 2025.

This could help pay for 5,000 sessions of emotional support to a person living with cancer with a Macmillan Buddy.
