At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join us as an Event Support Volunteer and be a part of an amazing team on the day, and if you love the experience you might be inspired to join the team at other events in the future. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.
Join Macmillan at the Art in Health : Cancer Tapestry event on Wednesday 21 August 2024 at the Cornerstone Centre, on Edinburgh’s busy Princes Street.
Healing Arts is a global outreach campaign of the Jameel Arts & Health Lab in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). Healing Arts Scotland is the first ever countrywide Healing Arts Week, following previous city-wide celebrations around the world, including New York, Paris, London, Venice and Jaipur, and is a week-long celebration of arts and health events, highlighting the joy they bring to those who take part, and their importance to the nation’s physical, mental and social health.
There are 2 volunteer shifts available for you to choose from: 10am-1pm and 1.30pm-3pm. Volunteers will be fundraising out on Princes Street with Macmillan buckets and handing out fliers, raising vital funds and awareness to the public passing by.
If you would like to be part of our Event Support volunteer team, apply to volunteer today!
