Event Support Volunteer (Follow the Stars - Macmillan Christmas Carols - 6 December 2024)

At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join us as an Event Support Volunteer and be a part of an amazing team on the day, and if you love the experience you might be inspired to join the team at other events in the future. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.

Macmillan Carols concert is wonderful evening of fundraising, music, and celebrity readings. After the concert there will be a VIP reception held in the Chapter Room for sponsors, committee, longstanding supporters and readers. To date the event has raised over £830,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and continues to be a highlight of event calendar. As a volunteer you will support with welcoming and stewarding guests, selling merchandise, taking the retiring collection and event set up and pack down. Not only is this an amazing opportunity to support Macmillan but you will also get the chance to watch the concert in the spectacular surroundings of Christ Church Cathedral.
