Event Support Volunteer (Great Manchester Run - 18 May 2025)
The vibrant city of Manchester plays host to this fun event where runners take on a 10k or half marathon course that winds through the city. In true Manchester style, the course is full of great music and entertainment zones to help create an amazing atmosphere. You can be a part of this by joining our friendly cheerpoint and making some noise for all our fantastic fundraisers.
What will you be doing?
Cheerpoint
- Join a friendly group of volunteers to encourage our runners to the finish line.
- We will provide everything you need to make some noise and paint the path green (Macmillan tabards, cowbells, clappers, pom poms etc.)
- Can’t do one of our shift times but would still like to volunteer, get in touch and we can help!
Your impact
- £85,000 raised by 370 runners in 2024.
- This could help to run the Macmillan Online community for 4 months.

Great Manchester Run is a wheelchair accessible event but routes to the cheerpoint may be affected by road closures and crowds. Please contact us for further support.
