Event Support Volunteer (Great North Run 2022 - Sunday 11 September 2022)

At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join our team as an Event Support volunteer and help support everything from marathons to festivals and supermarket collections to black tie events. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.

A brilliant opportunity to support Macmillan by cheering on the 1,100 runners that are going the distance and helping to make sure Macmillan can be right there to help people living with cancer. With the route being back to the usual of starting in Newcastle, crossing over the River Tyne and into Gateshead before continuing past South Tyneside and finishing by the sea at South Shields we will have 4 fantastic cheer points along the way to keep Team Green's sprirts up as they go the miles for Macmillan! We're looking for volunteers to bring all their energy and enthusiasm and who want to have a great day out!
