Be a part of something brilliant and join Macmillan in the Leeds Pride parade 2025 – walking in the parade through the streets of Leeds. Leeds Pride is Yorkshire's biggest annual celebration of LGBT+ life. Last year saw the biggest ever parade with over 167 organisations and 70,000 people in attendance.
What will you be doing?
Join us as we march in solidarity and inclusivity along the Leeds Pride Parade route. Each year, the colourful parade kicks off at Millennium Square, winding its way through the city streets and culminating on Lower Briggate by The Calls, where the festivities begin. There is opportunity to arrive early and stay late to see entertainment. Exact details will be confirmed in your volunteer brief sent around 2 weeks before the event.
Your Impact
Leeds Pride has taken place since 2006, and Macmillan has regularly taken part in the parade. It’s important to have a Macmillan presence so that people know Macmillan is inclusive of everyone, and to encourage those people watching and taking part to seek support if they need it.
Accessibility
At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join us as an Event Support Volunteer and be a part of an amazing team on the day, and if you love the experience you might be inspired to join the team at other events in the future. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.
