Event Support Volunteer (Leeds Pride - 21 July 2024)

At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join us as an Event Support Volunteer and be a part of an amazing team on the day, and if you love the experience you might be inspired to join the team at other events in the future.

By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.

Be a part of something brilliant and be an ambassador for Macmillan and take part in the Leeds Pride parade – walking in the parade through the streets of Leeds.

Leeds Pride is Yorkshire's biggest annual celebration of LGBT+ life. 176 different organisations took part in the parade in 2023, and there were over 70,000 people supporting Leeds Pride throughout the day. Leeds Pride has taken place since 2006, and Macmillan has regularly taken part in the parade. It’s important to have a Macmillan presence so that people know Macmillan is inclusive of everyone, and to encourage those people watching and taking part to seek support if they need it.

There is opportunity to arrive early and stay late to see entertainment. Exact timings to be confirmed.
