Event Support Volunteer (London Landmarks Half Marathon - 6 April 2025)

If you’re looking for a fun volunteering opportunity, this is the one to go for. Each year our cheerpoint has a theme with fancy dress to make us that much more distinctive, last year was London’s sporting history!

In addition, we will be joined by our wonderful Samba band to provide music and endless entertainment throughout the day. Sign up to make sure you don’t miss the fun!

What will you be doing?

Cheerpoint

  • Join a friendly group of volunteers to encourage our runners to the finish line.
  • We will provide everything you need to make some noise and paint the path green (Macmillan tabards, cowbells, clappers, pom poms etc.)
  • Can’t do one of our shift times but would still like to volunteer, get in touch and we can help!

Your impact

  • £500,000 raised in 2024.
  • This could help to run the Macmillan Support Line for over 2 months.

What makes this event special?

  • Every year we go all out on this cheerpoint with a special theme with extra fancy dress props and cheering materials. Last year was London’s sporting history.
  • Samba band providing entertainment at the cheerpoint.

Accessibility

  • The closest tube station (Monument) is not accessible. Travel may be possible by road but road closures will limit this. Please contact us for further information on travel and access.
