Event Support Volunteer (Pick for a Purpose (Blueberry Pick) - 14 September 2024)

At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join us as an Event Support Volunteer and be a part of an amazing team on the day, and if you love the experience you might be inspired to join the team at other events in the future. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.

Farmer Peter Thomson is allowing members of the public to come along and pick as many blueberries as they can carry whilst raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in the process.

We are looking for volunteers to help with three main tasks:

1) manage the sign in table and take donations 2) direct traffic in the car park 3) direct people from sign in station through the field to the area where they can pick from
