Event Support Volunteer (Sheffield United collection for John Burkhill, ‘Man with a Pram’ - Saturday 15 October 2022)

At Macmillan we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. Do you have enthusiasm for fundraising and work well in a team? Then we would love you to join our team as an Event Support volunteer and help support everything from marathons to festivals and supermarket collections to black tie events. By sharing your skills and time, you’ll have a rewarding and fun experience, helping us to deliver an excellent experience for event participants and meet new people as part of a friendly team that makes a difference in the community. Together, we can be right there for people with cancer.

Macmillan will have an entry collection to support John Burkhill “Man with the Pram” who collects in Sheffield for Macmillan with his daughter’s pram after both his wife and daughter passed with cancer. John has raised over £846,000 for Macmillan so far and we’re holding the collection at the game to help John with his target of raising £1 million for Macmillan. This is a fabulous opportunity to support Macmillan and volunteers will then get a free ticket to watch the Sheffield United v Blackpool match. We are looking for volunteers who would be happy to support our Relationship Fundraising Team and John at this fantastic event.
