Event Support Volunteer (Utilita Arena Collection - Tom Segura - 23 March 2025)

Our concert collections are one of our more unique opportunities but with high potential for fun. You and a small group of volunteers will collect at Cardiff’s biggest arena, engaging with the excited public awaiting the gig. Volunteers will also be able to watch the show once they are finished collecting.

What will you be doing?

• Collecting donations
• Cash bucket collection
• Using our phone app to collect contactless donations (details of this will be included in your briefing)

Your impact

• These collections raise approx. £2000-3000 for Macmillan every year.
• Although not as large an amount as other events this money can help fund a support worker for a month, giving vital care to a person living with cancer.
• Awareness of Macmillan is vital to help people access our support. By attending these concerts in Macmillan green you will make people aware of our services.

What makes this event special?

• Free entry to watch the gig after you’ve collected.
• Accessibility
• The Utilita arena is a wheelchair accessible venue. Please let us know if you have accessibility needs as not all entrances are accessible.
• This event will be louder than usual.

• Macmillan’s relationship is with the Utilita arena not the artists attending. All his views are their own and not endorsed by Macmillan.
• Volunteer attendance at the gig is subject to change. We will confirm attendance in your volunteer briefing two weeks prior to the event.
